HU-210 synthetic cannabinoid, the (-) enantiomer 11-OH-D8-THC-DMH, is the (-)-1,1-dimethylheptyl analog of 11-hydroxy- Δ8- tetrahydrocannabinol, which has a cannabinoid potency 800 times greater than the natural THC from hemp, has an affinity binding 0,061 nM to CB1 and 0,52 nM to CB2, and has a longer lasting effect. HU-210 was first synthesized in 1988 at Hebrew University, under the direction of Raphael Mechoulam.
HU-210 is used in the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, along with other strong cannabinoids, such as JWH and WIN, causing activation of cannabinoid receptors, and is also a powerful analgesic.
This drug is not listed in the UN Single Convention and many countries are not required to control it, but HU-210 is banned from sale in New Zealand and in the US, in some states.
