Thiothinone (βk-MPA) is a stimulant designer drug, a class of cathinones (structurally related to methcathinone, the phenyl group has been replaced by thiophene), a beta-keto substituted analog of methiopropamine and is a pyrolysis product. In its effect on the body it is similar to methamphetamine.
