Diclazepam or 2-Chlorodiazepam (chlorodiazepam) is a benzodiazepine drug, tranquilizer, analogue of diazepam (Valium), which was first synthesized in the middle of the last century by Leo Sternbach and his team at Hoffman-LaRoche. IUPAC Diclazepam: 7-chloro-5- (2-chlorophenyl) -1-methyl-1,3-dihydro-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-on. Diclazepam has sedative, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic properties and is approximately 10 times more effective than diazepam.
